Resarch: Experiences of Black Brazilian women resisting technology-facilitated gender-based violence. Feminist Internet Research Network and Instituto Minas Programam.

Report exploring the impacts of TFGBV on the experiences of Black Brazilian women, as well as documenting how we/they have been resisting, creating connections with each other and finding joy in spite of the hostility of online environments. Read here.

Publication: A Black Girl Guide to University for Minas Programam

Minas Programam launched “From Here On Out: Your Guide to College,” an illustrated guide featuring valuable information on college admission, staying in college, choosing majors, organizing a study routine, participating in preparatory courses, and interviews with contemporary Black scientists and professionals.

Research project: Towards Healthier Information Ecosystems in Latin America and the Caribbean

From September 2023 to December 2024, I led a research project focused on learning from peers across the region about what it takes to build healthy information ecosystems. Available here.

Free tech and data support to Black feminist organizers.

In 2023, I facilitated the provision of free tech and data support to Black feminist organisers, resulting in over 10 organisations benefiting from tailored tech guidance.

Podcast: Black Brazilian women using digital technologies to fight for social justice

From 2022-2025, I hosted and produced a podcast interviewing Black Brazilian women about how we/they use digital technologies to fight for social justice.

2020

Study group on tech, gender and race with Minas Programam

The study group was a space for women (mostly women of colour) to discuss how digital technologies interact with structural oppression, such as racism. I wrote this reflection on some of our discussions.

2019

Research: How are digital technologies used by feminist movements and organisations in Brazil?

Research exploring how chatbots are utilised in the context of advocacy for sexual and reproductive health and rights.

2018

Research: A Brief Overview of Legal Abortion and Transparency in Brazil

As part of my work for ARTIGO 19, I was one of the lead researchers on a report on legal abortion and the right to information, which covers the lack of transparency around access to legal abortion in Brazil.

2015

Co-founding Instituto Minas Programam

I’m one of the co-founders of Minas ProgramamBetween 2015 and 2026, we created spaces for Black Brazilian girls/women to learn about technology from a feminist and anti-racist perspective.
